As a part of the application process, applicants are required to take the following continuing education courses prior to being licensed:
- a two-hour course related to the prescribing and monitoring of controlled substances as required by Section 481.07635 of the Health and Safety Code. A course completion certificate can be uploaded during the application process or emailed to the Board.
- a current CPR or BLS certificate (the Board does not approve CPR/BLS courses and will accept any course from a nationally recognized provider).
